Organized by 5 universities from Europe and Asia, the conference aims to bring together the scientific community working in the broader field of
Engineering Optimization and Architectural Design including problem formulation, computational methods and software development. The program and topics discussed will serve as a platform for establishing links between research groups and encourage the exchange of ideas between the communities of mathematical programming and architectural design.
As a result, on the one hand, the communities of Mathematical Programming and Nature-Inspired Search Algorithms will become more familiar with
important application areas arising from Architectural design real-world problems. On the other hand, advanced numerical methods and software tools that highly assist in tackling combinatorial optimization problems will be introduced to the architectural design community.
The topics covered in the conference range from shape and topology optimization and optimization software to design under uncertainty and structural health monitoring among many others.
The presentation of
Issam el-Absi, the director of the
Master’s in Global BIM Management for Infrastructure Projects, shall cover the experience of CCC (Consolidated Contractors Company) in the fields of BIM, digital transformation and asset lifecycle information management. He will share with the audience the
true benefits of the effective utilization of BIM in the construction of Buildings and Infrastructures. He will also dedicate some time to discuss the fundamental significance of proper BIM education and present the educational collaboration between CCC, its BIM Academy and Zigurat.
