Women in BIM is a global institution dedicated to promoting equity and inclusion in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) sector—an objective closely aligned with the intrinsic values of ZIGURAT Institute of Technology.
Founded with the mission of increasing the representation of women in the AEC industry, Women in BIM has achieved remarkable milestones over its ten-year journey. Today, the organization boasts a community of over 2,000 members, supported by 60 regional leaders and an active presence in 30 countries. This global reach is a testament to its critical role in fostering diversity, advocating for inclusion, and shaping a more equitable future for the AEC sector.
ZIGURAT shares these goals and actively works toward achieving equality through transformative education and representation. The institute includes accomplished women leaders in its Faculty Board, ensuring students learn from diverse perspectives and experiences. Furthermore, ZIGURAT demonstrates its commitment by offering scholarships specifically aimed at supporting women in the industry, empowering them to pursue advanced education and leadership roles.
To honor the accomplishments of Women in BIM on its 10th anniversary, ZIGURAT participated in one of the many celebratory events held worldwide throughout the year. On October 20th, the event took place in London, bringing together inspiring women who are both regional leaders and partners of Women in BIM. These influential voices shared their experiences, challenges, and successes in the industry, providing valuable insights into how diversity enriches the AEC sector.
By joining hands with initiatives like Women in BIM, ZIGURAT reinforces its commitment to driving equity, inclusion, and innovation in the global AEC industry.
