ZIGURAT WAS PART OF INFRABIM OPEN, IN FINLAND

Zigurat Global Institute of Technology supports initiatives such as InfraBIM Open because they represent a breakthrough in the BIM industry. Zigurat participated in the 1st edition of this event as a sponsor and presented its recently launched Global BIM Management for Infrastructure Projects Certification Program, offered in collaboration with Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC). Zigurat also presented other programs related to BIM as the Global BIM Management Certification Program, which started its 2nd edition the 31st of January, and the Global URBANTIC and Smart Cities Certification Program. InfraBIM Open 2018 event introduced the latest achievements in information modelling, process re-engineering and practical open infraBIM project cases in transport infrastructure development. Top-class cases from Finland as well as from Sweden, Norway and the UK were presented. The event held in Tampere on February the 6th–7th, 2018 brought together the specialists in open infraBIM development and its use: interoperability and process development experts, software developers, design and management consulting professionals, construction and maintenance service providers, as well as supervisors and asset managers from owners side.Visitors from all over the world got the opportunity to immerse themselves in the inspiring program: listened to top-tier speakers, participated in the workshops and mingle with like-minded professionals. Some of them were Aki Kopra, Development Manager at Kreate, one of the leading infrastructure builders in Finland; Adam Matthews, International Director for the UK Government’s BIM Task Group and Digital Built Britain Programme and Chairman of the EU BIM Task Group; Pekka Petäjäniemi, Director for Major Infrastructure Projects Implementation Department in Finnish Transport Agency; Tarmo Savolainen, Chairman of buildingSMART Nordic and many more. Zigurat’s BIM social platform BIMCommunity also participated in this event. As Media Partner, BIMCommunity brought knowledge and the latest news to all professionals and companies that could not move to Tampere those days.
