Zigurat partners with the Department of Civil Engineering (DINCI) of the University of Calabria

Zigurat collaborates with different institutions worldwide to offer quality service and better understand the local needs of each geographical area. We keep moving forward, beyond country borders, and expanding our network of strategic and academic partners. We are proud to join efforts with a renowned Italian University, the Università della Calabria, specifically with the Department of Civil Engineering (DINCI). In that sense, both academic institutions commit to professional development and contribute to the community's social and economic development. DINCI's alumni will benefit from special conditions to further develop their digital skills in BIM, studying the Global Master's in BIM Management, or the Postgraduate program in Parametric Design. To kick off the collaboration, DINCI has invited Rodrigo Ferreiro to give a speech on the event “Civil Engineering 4.0: challenges, opportunities, and evolution of the profession in the digital age” to talk about how the new engineers are applying BIM in the entire life-cycle of a building. Register here The University of Calabria is one of the most important and dynamic universities in Italy, where the learning experience becomes an extraordinary opportunity in terms of human and professional development. It is the largest and best equipped University Campus in Italy. The Campus par excellence (14 departments and 120 laboratories) stretches over a green area of more than 200 hectares among the hills of the river Crati Valley, in the urban area of Cosenza and Rende. The cultural project of DINCI is based on the areas characterizing Civil Engineering and Building Engineering-Architecture, such as Building Science and Technique, Technical Architecture and Architectural Composition, Geotechnics, Hydraulics and Hydraulic Constructions, Infrastructures and Transport Systems, Urban Planning and Territorial Planning. Each of them develops themes also related to the transformation of the works, taking up classic themes of Civil Engineering and Architecture and proposing them in light of the new needs of sustainability and safety. DINCI has 16 laboratories in which research groups work and produce international publications and patents. According to prof.
