For the second consecutive year, ZIGURAT Institute of Technology has participated in the BIM Coordinators Summit, one of the most important events on BIM and digitalisation in the AEC sector worldwide. On this occasion, it has done so as a silver event sponsor.
In this way, ZIGURAT has awarded five BIM Hero medals to leading women in the field of BIM to enhance their visibility in the construction sector, one of the most masculinised in the world.
In addition, Rodrigo Ferreiro, Corporate & Institutional Development Manager at ZIGURAT, was a speaker during the event and presented how ZIGURAT is training future BIM leaders in the industry.
“The BIM Coordinator Summit surpassed our expectations compared to 2022, boasting multiple stages and featuring over 200 international speakers”, explained Ferreiro. “The Montagne family (Ralph, Audrey, and Emma) is commendably fostering a vibrant community where minds meet and information matters. Without a doubt, we look forward to returning next year!”, he concluded.
On 6 and 7 September, ZIGURAT's international community of BIM professionals met again and strengthened ties. Some members of ZIGURAT who attended the BIM Coordinators Summit were Patrick Slattery, professor of the Master's in Global BIM Management and moderator during the event, and the ZIGURAT Alumni and speakers, Hossam Abdulaziz and Natalia Oliveira.
ZIGURAT wanted to take advantage of the exceptional atmosphere generated during the BIM Coordinators Summit to organise an official reunion with its community of Alumni, professors, and partner companies.
To do so, it hosted a Local Hub, a flagship event of the institution that brings together the ZIGURAT community in person and worldwide. So far, Local Hubs have already been held in countries such as India, Colombia, Peru, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. On this occasion, a dozen ZIGURAT members could meet again in Dublin, Ireland, to share experiences and explore synergies.
