Anderson Alvarenga Ferreira is a civil engineer graduated from the University of Uberaba (2012) and a specialist in Public Management with an emphasis on Projects from the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV). He served as Brazil’s representative in the Latin American Government BIM Network and was one of the experts who contributed to the development of the BIM-BR Strategy. Additionally, he participated in the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) at the National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT). He currently works as a transportation infrastructure analyst at DNIT, within the Structures Project Coordination area, linked to the General Coordination of Project Development.
Throughout his career, Anderson has played a key role in promoting and disseminating the BIM methodology in Brazil, collaborating on various government initiatives to integrate innovative technologies into the infrastructure sector. His active involvement in the BIM-BR Strategy reflects his commitment to modernizing construction and project management processes in the country.
At DNIT, Anderson led strategic projects aimed at improving the efficiency and quality of infrastructure works, leveraging BIM to optimize the planning, execution, and maintenance of road projects. His expertise has been essential for training technical teams and implementing innovative practices within the organization.
In addition to his role at DNIT, Anderson serves as a professor in the International Master’s in BIM Management for Infrastructure, Civil Engineering, and GIS, sharing his knowledge and experience with professionals and students interested in delving deeper into the application of BIM methodology in the infrastructure sector.
