Carlos Dias is a specialist in Building Information Modeling (BIM) with a strong academic background and extensive professional experience. He graduated in Mathematics from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and holds postgraduate qualifications in Information Systems from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and in BIM Project Development and Management from Faculdade Unyleya. His expertise includes developing BIM solutions using programming languages such as Python, C#, and Dynamo, along with in-depth knowledge of Industry Foundation Classes (IFC).
Currently, Carlos Dias serves as the Head of the Construction Technology Infrastructure Sector at the Airspace Control Technology Center (CTCEA), a Brazilian organization dedicated to scientific and technological development in airspace control. In this role, he leads initiatives integrating BIM technologies into infrastructure projects, fostering innovation and efficiency in construction processes. His contributions significantly advance the modernization and digitalization of Brazil's construction sector.
In addition to his responsibilities at CTCEA, Carlos Dias is a lecturer in Parametric Design for the specialization course on Parametric Design with Visual Programming in BIM, offered by Zigurat Global Institute of Technology. In this capacity, he shares his knowledge and expertise with professionals and students, equipping them with advanced skills in parametric modeling and visual programming applied to BIM.
