Engineer Ureña holds a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Costa Rica. He also has a Professional Master’s Degree in Analysis of Existing Buildings from the Erasmus Mundus Program at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and the Czech Technical University, where he completed his thesis.
He graduated from the International Master in Steel Structures at ZIGURAT University of Barcelona and specialized in Steel Connections from INESA - University of Barcelona.
He is currently a professor of steel structures and masonry at UACA and Finite Element at UCR. He has 19 years of design experience.
