Mohammad Mayouf is an Associate Professor and the Academic Lead for the Digital Built Environment subject at Birmingham City University. He leads the Digital Built Environment portfolio, which encompasses the Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, and Building Surveying programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
His teaching focuses on embedding Building Information Modelling (BIM) applications and digital processes into construction projects, guiding students through the project lifecycle from conception to completion. Through these courses, Mohammad aims to equip future professionals with the skills necessary to implement BIM and digital technologies effectively in real-world construction environments.
In addition to his teaching role, Mohammad Mayouf supervises PhD students. His research interests lie in the complexity of incorporating stakeholders' needs and requirements into building projects, as well as exploring various information modelling approaches that accommodate multiple perspectives.
His research also delves into the intricacies of data and information complexity within the construction industry. He proposes inclusive problem-solving methods that address both technological and sociological considerations, ensuring that all aspects of building delivery are effectively addressed and managed.
