Wagner Oliveira Carvalho is a Civil Engineer from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), with postgraduate degrees in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and Quality Engineering/Construction and Assembly from Prominp-Petrobrás and the Federal Fluminense University (UFF). He also holds an International Executive MBA in Project Management from George Washington University and Fundação Getúlio Vargas, as well as a Professional Master's in Global BIM Management for Infrastructure from ZIGURAT and the University of Barcelona. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering at the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon.

As co-leader of the international Smart Water Networks Forum (SWAN) group focused on the digital twin lifecycle (Design-Build-Operation-Customer Experience), Wagner has significantly contributed to advancing smart technologies in water networks. His expertise in engineering and sanitation technologies has earned him invitations to speak at national and international conferences such as the Cleantech Conference, SWAN Conference, Singapore International Water Week, BIM 4.0 in São Paulo, and Infra-BIM 4.0.

Throughout his career, Wagner has played key roles in implementing BIM solutions for the sanitation sector, emphasizing the importance of these tools in the digital transformation of the industry. His participation in international events like the Singapore International Water Week highlights his commitment to sharing knowledge and best practices in smart water management.

In addition to his technical work, Wagner has contributed to the academic and professional development of civil and environmental engineering by teaching courses and workshops on the application of BIM and GIS technologies in infrastructure projects. His focus on integrating digital solutions has been essential in promoting efficiency and sustainability in sanitation projects, positioning him as a reference in contemporary engineering.

The combination of his strong academic background, practical experience, and active participation in international forums enables Wagner Carvalho to lead initiatives that drive innovation in the water and sanitation sector.
