Xavier Aguiló i Aran is International Managing Director at SOCOTEC. studied Industrial Engineering in Spain, specializing in Structural Engineering. He obtained his engineering degree in 1999 while working at BAC Barcelona as a structural consultant.
He was appointed Associate at BAC in 2001 and appointed Managing Director of the Madrid office in 2007 In 2018, he was appointed UK Manager. He teaches at several universities: Architectural Association, Central Saint Martins, Royal College of Art and ZIGURAT Global Institute of Technology.
Xavier is especially interested in circular construction, sustainable design and iconic buildings, and has been lucky enough to work on many unique buildings over the past 20 years. He is fully committed to the integration between technology and architecture.
